So, it turns out that the internship I had this past summer paid me as an independent contractor rather than as an employee. That means that I got a 1099-MISC rather than a W-2 from my employer meaning that the IRS knows that I earned money without it being taxed. This ensued. Ok so my reaction was a bit more subdued but you get the point.
Oh, this news made me sad. Batman was one of my favorite superheroes...
